Right to Privacy - I See you...

Image
I SEE YOU... Privacy: noun ·                     A state in which one is not observed or disturbed by other people. ·                     The state of being free from public attention. The simplest words have the toughest practices. Do you peep into your neighbour’s home? Do you keep a watch on people going in and out of your neighbour’s house? Do you check your spouse’s phone? Do you read your sibling’s diary? Do you peep through key holes? (You pervert! Slap yourself.) If you are doing any of these things under the garb of – if it’s happening before my eyes, how can I ignore it? Or my battery died and I needed to make an urgent call so I used my spouse’s phone. Or I need to make sure my sibling is not falling into bad company. Or I was just ensuring the woman wasn’t pouring kerosene all over her self– then, dear human you are invading someone’s privacy. For the longest time we have let such behaviour pass. With technology making its way into our everyday life we have been reminded t

Palak Paneer

Image
I'm strong to the Fin-ich, 'cause I eats me Spin-ach, I'm _______ the sailor man... In my last post I mentioned the Tarla Dalal recipe and posted the link to the same and a whole set of people asked me why I had changed the recipe. Well, I didn’t change the recipe. I merely adjusted the quantity of ingredients to my liking. In cooking there are no ‘set’ rules that one has to conform to. As much as I like looking up recipes, I know my own taste and the flavours enjoyed by the people I cook for. I tend to accordingly add ingredients so that one taste doesn’t overpower the other. I think of the kitchen as my lab and I experiment. On occasion there are explosions and disasters but often times the results are just mind-blowingly amazing.  Like this recipe. After tasting the palak paneer, I actually wondered if I had cooked it! Fresh spinach is such a joy. I can’t believe I needed Popeye to help me eat this leafy vegetable as a child. I am sure many parents are thankful to Popey

MCaffeine

As I mentioned in my previous post, Mcaffeine is a brand I was introduced to via GlamEgo. In the past 8 months of having subscribed to this box I have received three Mcaffeine products in total. Here’s a brief review of them all. Product: Shower Gel Name : Liquid Funk All the shower gels I own are either fruity or floral. I tend to lean towards citrusy fragrances because personally I find them extremely refreshing.   Off late I have been experimenting with other bases as well. Liquid Funk shower gel is pleasing to the eye as it is comes in a deep azure hue and smells very pleasant and refreshing.   When you smell it as is, it smells like a car/room freshener but once you are done showering it smells amazingly fresh and kind of reminds me of one of the axe sprays. Just can’t pin point which one! This is a really good product not just in terms of how it looks and smells but it is actually refreshing and the presence of taurine does exactly what it is meant to – Hydrates your skin. I rec

Bella Voste - Overview ( Part 3 - Eye/Brow Liner)

Image
Yes people, we are on a Bella Voste ride. In our March 2018, GlamEgo box we had the option of choosing between a brow liner, eye - liquid liner/gel liner and mascara. Lulu picked the gel eye liner (Black) and I picked the brow-liner (Brunette Brown). Note to the readers: Products rated by Lulu are the ones she got in her Box/Bag ergo products rated by me are the ones I got in my Box, as this is a co-written review. Here’s our review of both the products: Brow Liner Shade: Brunette Brown I finally tried the Brow-Liner and even though I had wanted a ‘brow’ product I didn’t know what good it would do me. I don’t particularly have scanty eyebrows and I don’t get my eyebrows done very thin. They are decently thick but I like them thicker. Hence I took the pencil and went about gently filling the ends (towards the nose bridge) and outlined my eyebrows so the shape didn’t get distorted. Since this pencil comes with a spooly the colour blends in well with my brows and they looked ‘fuller’. It

Bella Voste - Overview (Part 2 - Nail Polish)

Image
Products from Bella Voste range from lipsticks, gloss, eyeliner, mascara, brow-liner to nail polish. Lulu and I have combined our collection and are presenting the different “categories” of nail polish we have from Bella Voste and a brief review of them all. Note to the readers: Products rated by Lulu are the ones she got in her Box/Bag ergo products rated by me are the ones I got in my Box, as this is a co-written review. Type: Matte Finish Shade: Gloom & Doom 11 Colour: Teal This is a matte finish nail polish and the only reason I picked the colour was because I loved that it was called “Gloom & Doom”. It is not in the least bit gloomy looking and nor is it fatal enough to make men trip when they see this shade. I love the colour –Teal. I love how quickly it dries up. I love how easy it is to apply when there is a paucity of time and it has amazing lasting powers. I’d recommend this to EVERYBODY. Lasting Power: A week, without chipping.
