Dear reader,

Thoughts meander like restless wind in my world, where reality and fantasy collide - often confusing me. Which is why I type them out as a means to sort things in my head. If you ended up on my blog and like it, wow. Feel free to tell me what mental illness grips you? We just might have something to talk about. If you ended up on my blog and don’t like it, please feel free to read other blogs. Don’t waste your time here.

No hate and since Love is over-rated, only Peace ☮

Happy Reading

Dear Reader,                                                                                                                   23.08.2020

Hello! If you have been following my blog since its inception then you know I have been writing under my alias Advocatus Diaboli. As a law student my blog was mostly about law, politics and current events with a sprinkling of anecdotes featuring my furry friends, furry humans and my ever active imagination. As the years passed I decided to write under my name Ashwini Shenoy. This was a huge deal for me because I was thriving on the interaction under my protective blanket of anonymity. As I grew some more the cynical and the dark took more precedence. I was unable to write like I did before. It was only two years ago that I started writing in earnest and realised that writing was tougher than swimming or cycling. What I started two years back was to merely ensure I was writing. I don't know when and how it became about "appealing to readers", getting more views on posts and getting comments. I was slipping back into the abyss of, "What the fuck am I writing?" Believe me when I say this - If you can't take pride in what you write you will become insanely frustrated with what you spewed for the world to see. That's what happened to me. I was definitely drowning in quick sand and I knew if I didn't write the way I felt, I would hate myself and probably never be able to write again.

I have never kept a schedule for anything. I do what I have to, write what I have to write, when I write because when it comes to things I love and survive on, there cannot be a schedule. It is a part of my day to day life and it manifests itself in little snippets, stories, reviews or recipes and only then I know it will grow and evolve. To get to who I was, won't take much time but my writing has surely become a little Rusty. Hence was born my new alias - Rusty Writing. A name that's a dedication to Ruskin Bond and my rusty skills.

I hope you all enjoy reading my blog as much as I enjoy writing them.

Peace
Rusty Writing
