Happiness is…… Being inspired :)

I wanted to dedicate a post to Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar. Sachin Tendulkar, the one individual who brought an entire country together for his last match. What a beautiful farewell he got and how much more inspiring his speech was. How marvelous a journey the man had led from his first interview giving monosyllable answers to an entire speech on the last day of his game. Talk about being moved. Amidst all this frenzy over Sachin retiring there was one section of the Country that believed that the fanfare was too much and that he didn’t deserve it and that everything was just a bit too much. They argued that the country had more pressing matters to take care of. That he was just another sportsman… yada yada… AND all I could think was…. WHAT A LEGEND! I mean to be the best at what you love to do - not just in your family, or your district, or your State, or your Country, or your Continent but to be the best in whole entire world… THAT that that is just mind blowing!!!!! Happiness is... S.I.L.E.N.C.E

I go to the office early in the evenings because I get to have the books and the computer to myself and I can listen to my music while I work. I like listening to music while I work, and I like doing my work without being interrupted. The time I keep for myself in the evening is something I look forward to because; I get almost all my work done. This little time that I get - I call it “UTOPIA”. I mean 30 minutes to work on an entire set of files for the next day without interruptions is a boon. Today I am writing a blog post instead. I have just one file for tomorrow. Here I was thinking, what should I write in my blog? It’s been so long since I wrote anything. I basically wanted write something that would move the reader to dig deep in their hearts and pull every scrap of emotion and say – YEAH! I HAVE FELT THAT WAY! SO TRUE! While I was sifting for ideas in my brain, a client comes to the office and asks me, “What time will your senior be coming?” I tell him, “He should b

Permissive voyeurism.

In this day and age when communication has been reduced to opening our laptops and logging into a social networking site, which updates us on who is doing what, where they are doing it, who they are doing it with and how they are feeling. ( Yes the sentence is laced with innuendo.) We are permitting people to look into our lives. We are practically inviting these people to our virtual homes and letting them inspect the varying elements of our life which we have voluntarily shared with them. Hence the phrase “permissive voyeurism”. We may not talk to every one of our “friends” on the site. We may not even know those people. We use discretion and add strangers on our pages and thereby we are letting these people into our lives. These people who constitute our “friends”, “followers” get a glimpse of how we think and our life style and our whereabouts and close friend circle. So when I bump into an acquaintance who greets me with, “ Hey convey my congratulations to your brot

“I'd take the awe of understanding over the awe of ignorance any day.” ― Douglas Adams, The Salmon of Doubt

Happily ever after? Happy today… you can never be sure if you will be just as happy tomorrow. Ha so the cynic is back. Thus the blog. It is strange isn’t it? That as kids we read books and fairy tales which are supposed to teach us morals and these stories always have a happy ending? I believe I was born a cynic because when I was growing up my favourite story was that of the “Little Match Girl”. She lights a match in the cold and sees visions of the Christmas that could have been… only to die of the cold on Christmas morning.  This story used to make me incredibly sad. I used to wonder why somebody didn’t buy the matches from her. She could have bought some food with the money. The fact remained that she was left all alone in the cold. I actually worried about the little match girl often. As I grew up I realized that this story is the only story that ever told you how humans are without exaggerating the evil or the good. People in their own busy schedules don’t look around to see som

Change and some more and a scene.

I joined the GYM! Yes, now like plenty of other people I’m a gym goer. I only recently started and am very enthusiastic about it. Everyone around me is not quiet sure how long my enthusiasm will last. Well that we’ll have to wait and see both you and I. As I am not sure about it myself. But I am on a high of just having started something new and enjoying it. Though My body and mind don’t seem to be on the same page about the whole Gyming experience. While my mind is buzzing with excitement my body is cringing at the very sight of weights. My entire right side hurts so much. Phew. I wish the pain would subside but weirdly only my right side (neck + back + arm) hurts like someone tried to dislodge the arm very unsuccessfully. I have been told that the pain is normal and will soon be gone. Soon is not soon enough! They play remixed versions of the latest songs that I haven’t ever heard and only did after going there. I feel old when I am not aware of the latest music, though I am mo
