Images and Words

....and so she looked up at the ceiling and saw nothing but darkness she closed her eyes and conjured pretty blue swirls of smoke that spiraled right above her like a universe beckoning her to intrude on the mysteries that it holds. She gently put out her hand towards the blue and immediately pulled it back. Should she dare try and see what it holds for her? “I’m not going to think I’m just going to do it.”, she said and stretched out her hand, seconds later there was a pull and she was engulfed in the blue smoke. The joy she felt as she was encompassed by the smoke was thrilling to a point that she feared opening her eyes… what if the feeling vanished? What if she saw something she did not want to see? She let her head fall back as the smoke thickened and tightened around her and she found it hard to breathe. The fear had to be done away with… she opened her eyes only to be surrounded by bright shades of every color that the mind could conjure. A rush of colors everywhere she looked. She wondered why she’d never seen these hues and shades before? The feeling of having seen something so new filled her with strange happiness the kind she’d never known. She felt like she’d abandoned her fearful self and shed a skin and was seeing the world for the very first time. She didn’t understand why she’d never looked at the blue smoke like she did today… she didn’t feel she had to understand it because the happiness that it brought her couldn’t be explained but only felt. She did not want to reason she just wanted to be engulfed by the smoke. She closed her eyes again to revel in the joy of opening her eyes once again to the hues around her and each time she opened her eyes the thrill of joy only got better. She was discovering something new with each blink something around her something in her… why had she not known this before? She smiled to herself and felt liberated. Suddenly from the corner of her eye she saw a flower drop dead and another and another and another she turned around and everything was turning into an ugly shade of brown the kind that tells the story of a dead leaf or a dead flower she ran trying to save what she could, she thought by holding on to it she would be able to do something about it but suddenly she also felt the pressure of the blue smoke around her recede she tried to pull it back around her like a protective blanket but it refused to engulf her in its warmth she panicked... she didn’t know what to do she fell back and looked up there was darkness again…

This is strong. I can sense the image myself. A sub-conscious feeling is damn wonderful :)
