👣 Pacer: Pedometer, Step Counter & Weight Loss Tracker

Image
One and a half years ago I decided I needed a Fitbit but I wasn’t sure if I would stick to the fitness routine I wanted to start. I haven’t been very dedicated where exercise is concerned and hence I was not particularly sure if I should spend a bomb on a gadget that would very well just end up being a very expensive bracelet on my wrist. That’s when I decided to look for an App on Playstore that did pretty much the same thing and that’s how I ended up installing Pacer on my phone. Pacer is a step counter app that does multiple things – for starters, it counts your steps, calories burnt and distance walked/run. Since we always have our phone on us this is as good as a gadget around your wrist and since it is your phone you have the added advantage of listening to an interesting podcast or music of your choice when you run/walk/jog. For my personal settings I have set 16k steps per day that is approximately 10km. I either run or walk 10 kms everyday just so I feel like I have contribu...

MotoZ2 Play

Image
In our previous post I had mentioned that MotoZ2 Play was one of the phones I was considering buying. I ended up recommending it to my aunt who is now the proud owner of her Lunar grey MotoZ2 Play. The reason why Moto also made it to my list is relatively simple – It had the general specifications I was looking for along with the fact that it was economical. The biggest factor that made me lean towards this though was the expandable memory option. One can expand it up to 2TB!(Originally it has 64 Gb Internal Storage) My aunt’s laptop doesn’t get any more windows updates and they have since stopped updating chrome for older versions of windows. With last year’s scare of attacks on vulnerable systems her laptop hasn’t been connected to the Wi-Fi as there is no security patch. She has a nexus tab which she exclusively uses for games but she wanted a gadget that would allow her ample storage. Hence Moto! My aunt is on the other side of the 50’s but her love for technology and the simple ...

Google Pixel XL - Review

Image
I had been meaning to change my phone for over a year and it was then that this phone had caught my eye – The Google Pixel XL. I had read so much about it. Found that a lot of people that I am surrounded by had no intentions of getting it. Here is the thing, my sole reason for investing in a gadget has to do with the following: ·         Its price should be within a certain range i.e it should not burn a hole in my wallet. ·         It should at least be guaranteed that the product will be receiving software support for a minimum of 3 years. ·         It should have excellent user interface to make life easy and be a tool for communication as well as relaxation. ·         It should have a good camera. ·         Its accessories must be easily available in the market. It’s with the help of this list that I short list...
